Weekend Wrap-Up

Got my hair did on Friday. Girl cut it way too short. I hate that I have to constantly remind her each time "not too short this time". I think that this is strike 2 for her. I wanted to kick myself on the way out for tipping her the usual amount. D'oh!

Saturday was pretty busy. The Man came down to help me make over the bathroom. We painted & installed new linoleum floor tiles. I hate lino tiles, but I'm renting; otherwise, I'd have laid down ceramic tiles instead. Now, when I say that "we" laid down a new floor, I should correct that by saying that Paul did 99% of the work. I would have been totally lost/frustrated/pissed/enraged if I was dong it on my own. The walls of the bathroom are crooked. Paul did a great job figuring it all out while I supervised.

With the remodeling job done, we went to dinner and then came back home for a quick costume change, so that we could drive up to WeHo to meet up with Jim & David (who was visiting from Texas) for drinks at The Abbey. It's funny how both J & D are EXACTLY as how I'd imagined. It was great to finally meet them both. Had a blast at The Abbey. I didn't see any porn stars or celebs this time, but Lucky Paul caught a guy giving another guy a blow job, just outside of the restroom. Well, they tried to make it happen, but security swooped in on the love birds and broke it up before either had the chance to squeal! I always miss the action!

I have some pics of the blogger meet-up, but they're stuck in Paul's camera, and I don't have the proper adapter to download them. I'll post them as soon as I can get them out of the camera.

You got to meet David? Great! He was the very first blogger that I ever met from out of town. And that hair cut thing....I'm amazed that it never ends up the same way twice. Constant reminders.....I hate that.

I'm still puzzling over why you would put down linoleum in a RENTAL??

cb: I did it for two reasons...

1. It cost me $12 for peel-n-stick tiles (I have a small bathroom).

2. The old floor was disgustingly stained and angered me every time I looked at it.

I think short hair is masculine and sexy. I wear mine very short, although it doesn't seem to help.

Congrats on the floor project!

You hair looked very nice that night. I thought I smelled Linoleum on Paul. If I am exactly how you pictured, I wonder what I am putting out there...

Didn't you see Dustin Lance Black, Academy Award winning writer of MILK? Ok, he's not a pornstar but he did talk to Oprah!

in regards to the haircut, just bring a photo of your fresh cut. when you go back, bring it with you and say, "THIS is too short."

I was there? I'm gonna need to see pics of that! It was great meeting you and Paul, I thought I smelled linoleum too, but I thought it was Jim. Can't wait for the next time!

Don't blame me Babe, you were the one that was so eager to "break in" the new floor!
