Today is National Tartan Day

Since I've got absolutely nothing to write about today, I'll just fill up some space on the WWW with pics of some fun shoes...maybe I'll leave work early to get some retail therapy in.

OMG! That third pair Lyle owns! (of Jim & Lyle) I can't believe I remember Jim's post about those shoes. LURVE the patent hiking boots too!

That's right! I knew they looked familiar but I couldn't place where I'd seen them before. The man's got style!

Ah. I used to wear some black and white tartan pants! Also the classic red/black combo as well with 'em skinny, elastic braces! Say, do you remember the store Poseurs off Melrose a long ass time ago?? Then he moved to Hwd Bl. or something. The Brit guy who owned the store was hilarious!

I miss those rebellious days! Well Happy National Tartan Day to you, too!

Robert: your memory is amazing. I do remember that store. I miss those days too. Melrose Blvd was my "mall" of choice.

I think I need to see some of your old photo albums!

Well shit. I take a few days off and Michael is already stealing my comments! Lyle does have that last pair of Comme des Garçon shoes. I found them at Barney's in Las Vegas for 80% off two years ago. I love a bargain. Lyle doesn't wear them enough. He saves them for "special".
