I missed the show, but caught her performance on the Internets. She sang my all time favorite song, Why?
It was a good performance, but nothing compares to the way she sang the hell out of that song at Arista's 25th Anniversary Celebration a few years back....here's the video of her singing that song (the way I like it):

While making breakfast, I cut my left middle finger with a knife this morning. This really upset me, because now I wont be able to do a Double Eagle flip off as I'm dealing with L.A. traffic...I mean, it'd just look too lame trying to pull that off with a giant bandage on my finger.
I slammed the shower door on my right hand, whilst getting in the shower...I thought that I might have broken a finger at first....the pain was seriously bad.
Someone at work had made mini breakfast burritos (regular sized burritos cut in half). I greedily accepted one (my second breakfast), and within a couple of minutes, got salsa in my right eye. It burned like a b*tch!!
The Communications guy in our group called in sick, so I've been asked to take on his responsibilities today (and possibly the rest of the week)....normally it's not a problem, but the month end report (basically a newsletter of current events) is due in 2 days and I have to scramble to throw it together.
Needless to say, quitting time can't come any sooner.

I've been doing all the right things like drinking loads of water, eating soups/light meals, and really resting a lot. What's odd about the fevers is that only my face & neck heat up, the rest of my body is freezing at times. Strange, no?

Saturday morning found me at Long Beach City Hall, to join the rest of the country (as well as some international folks) protesting the passing of Prop 8. I was really (pleasantly) surprised at the number of people that showed up, despite all of the falling ash from the California wildfires & warm Santa Ana winds that were blowing all of that nasty ash.
My only complaint about the event is that the area where the rally was staged, was in an enclosed courtyard that was invisible to anyone passing by...other than that, it was a pretty good (peaceful) protest.
These are truly amazing & historic times that we're living in. Here are a couple of pics and a video of Long Beach's rally:

This Saturday, I'll be at City Hall, joining all the other "2nd class citizens" in every major city in America, for a National Proposition 8 rally.

Congratulations Mr. President...
I have one wish for everyone who voted Yes on 8...and that wish is that each of them has at least one gay child. Maybe then the realization of how hurtful/discriminating their "yes vote" is will come crashing down on them.

As anxious as I am feeling about today's election results, I still have faith in the American people to do the right thing & to make the right decision(s).
That's all I'm going to say...now listen to Deee-Lite and if you haven't done so already:
VOTE, BABY VOTE!
