London Calling

Posting for me, is turning out to be a weekly much for my personal goal of writing DAILY. Life just sometimes gets in the way and becomes a little difficult to document my Glamorous Life...[cue Sheila E music]...

Here's a little tidbit that some of you may already know: Bloggeratti Superstar/Globetrotter Extraordinaire, Anthony, from the blog London Life, was in town, and I finally got to meet him for drinks & laughs on Tuesday. Anthony is EXACTLY as I imagined, only funnier...and blacker. I had some familial issues with a sicky child that I had to deal with on Tuesday and we almost had to postpone the meet up. Thankfully, it all worked out and we actually met.

Ironically, the very next day I had to take my baby back to the doctor, and as I walked into the front office, I noticed a homo sitting in the lobby that looked very was Anthony! I think he swallowed a quarter or something. What a small world, after all!

We snapped a pic at the bar, but all of my chins wouldn't fit in the frame so Anthony is going to PhotoShop the hell out of it.

Quote of The Day

Coworker #1: "Whenever I buy myself a box of Cracker Jacks, I always tear open the box & go straight for the prize at the bottom of the box."

Coworker #2: "So, basically you're a bottom feeder?"

Me: "Oooh.....Snap!"

Spring has Sprung

Today is the 1st day of Spring 2009.

That's all I've got.

Just know that I spent way too long searching for the perfect pic, selecting the best font, along with the exact color match to accompany this wordy post...all that work just to make your day a little brighter. I'm a Giver. You're welcome.

Size Queen

For as long as I can remember, I've been working with just over 6 (I think it realistically comes in at 6.1) ...and honestly, to meet my needs, I think that's big enough. I have a friend who likes to show off his 8.0, but when I compare his equipment to mine, I really don't see any difference... especially with performance, 'mkay? Just for the record, I think Paul walks around with at least a 7.0, stuffed into his trousers...and I mean STUFFED. It is seriously thick (and white).

So, does size really matter?

I was looking at pictures of various models online this morning (I'm partial to the black ones), and I was blown away by all of the eye candy and by all of the choices available to my sweaty, needy, shaky little hands.

But I have to ask: is anything over 10 really necessary? I mean isn't that overkill? For example: I saw a model that came in at 14.7 ...Holy that's a lot of mega pixels.

Y'all know I'm talking about digital cameras, right?
My lazy camera died last week, and now I have to replace it. So I'm throwing this out to the peanut gallery: Do I really want to see my zits that well defined? Is there a big difference in a camera with 8.0 vs 10.0 megapixels? I don't see a big difference in price so I'm leaning towards a 10.0 camera.
Any thoughts or comments are very much welcomed.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I haven't really celebrated/participated in this "holiday" since I was in junior high school, yet there are grown adults whom I work with, going around and asking other coworkers "Where's your green at?".

The best response that I've heard so far today was from a (constantly) grumpy coworker who retorted with: "First of all, this isn't preschool, and second, you're Asian so why does St. Patrick's Day have ANY meaning to you at all?"....I bet you someone's going to be signed up for diversity training very soon.

I guess it's all in good fun, and I'm not going to knock the children, oops, 'people' celebrating here at the toy factory, especially since there's green cupcakes & green sprinkled donuts everywhere you look (diet be damned). Now, if there was some Midori flowing up in here, you bet your sweet nalgas that I'd be at least sporting some green beads.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Got my hair did on Friday. Girl cut it way too short. I hate that I have to constantly remind her each time "not too short this time". I think that this is strike 2 for her. I wanted to kick myself on the way out for tipping her the usual amount. D'oh!

Saturday was pretty busy. The Man came down to help me make over the bathroom. We painted & installed new linoleum floor tiles. I hate lino tiles, but I'm renting; otherwise, I'd have laid down ceramic tiles instead. Now, when I say that "we" laid down a new floor, I should correct that by saying that Paul did 99% of the work. I would have been totally lost/frustrated/pissed/enraged if I was dong it on my own. The walls of the bathroom are crooked. Paul did a great job figuring it all out while I supervised.

With the remodeling job done, we went to dinner and then came back home for a quick costume change, so that we could drive up to WeHo to meet up with Jim & David (who was visiting from Texas) for drinks at The Abbey. It's funny how both J & D are EXACTLY as how I'd imagined. It was great to finally meet them both. Had a blast at The Abbey. I didn't see any porn stars or celebs this time, but Lucky Paul caught a guy giving another guy a blow job, just outside of the restroom. Well, they tried to make it happen, but security swooped in on the love birds and broke it up before either had the chance to squeal! I always miss the action!

I have some pics of the blogger meet-up, but they're stuck in Paul's camera, and I don't have the proper adapter to download them. I'll post them as soon as I can get them out of the camera.

Dressed Up

Madonna dressed up as a Goth Catholic schoolgirl for a Purim party at the Kabbalah Center....I like the outfit because it hides the lizard arms. What say you?

Monday Already?

Hope y'all had a good weekend, mine was fabulous, of course. I got to spend some time with The Man, or as he's better known, he-who-hasn't written-a-post-in-nearly-2-months. On Saturday, we met up with Chris & Tim and saw The Watchmen. The movie was good, but I sorta felt like I was missing out on an entire backstory or something. The movie was long (2:43), the special effects were damn good, but the story line was a little "ehh"...

I was caught off guard when Dr Manhattan showed up on screen fully nekkid. We be talkin full frontal, schlong (and I do mean schLONG), swaying in the breeze, nekkid. Ok, so he was a blue CGI superhero, but dayum, the director must be a size queen...just saying. I mentioned to Paul that the last time I saw that much male frontal nudity was in a porno.

It was good to get out of town for the a couple of days. My boss was in a seriously bad biking-car accident on Friday (he was riding a bike), and the entire office's mood was negatively affected (including mine). We heard some really good news today that he's awake and there's no signs of brain damage. My boss is one tough cookie...I wouldn't be surprised if he showed up tomorrow covered in bandages!

Alive and Kicking

Wow, I've been away for far too long. Work has been super duper busy for the last several weeks, which means by the time I get home, cook dinner & tidy up, I'm completely spent. I really haven't had much to say either, so I didn't write. I've been trying my best to keep up with all of my favorite blogs out there, but still have much reading to do. Thank the Baby Jebus for Google Reader!

I guess I'm learning the hard way how to better manage my time, so I've committed myself to write more....once a day is the actual goal, even if it's just a nudie pic of my ass. You're welcome.

Anyhoo...I stumbled across this cool website called Mutlicolr Search Lab. Check it on a color(s) at the right and watch as it accesses pics from Flickr that match the color(s) you've chosen. I'm in the middle of changing the decor in my house and I think that this website will come in handy as I update framed art.

More tales to come... as soon as I find the time. Have a great weekend everybody!

Happy Birthday Theodore Geisel !

Theodore who? You may know Mr Geisel better as Dr. Seuss...who would have been 105 today.
